As senior vice president of In-Force Management, Lisa Miolo oversees approximately 200,000 in-force individual life policies and annuities for Sun Life clients. In addition to supporting clients, Lisa’s team strategizes ways to maximize business value through initiatives such as reinsurance, asset management and expense discipline.
Previously, Lisa was vice president, Individual Insurance, overseeing more than 85,000 in-force life insurance policies in the U.S. Prior to this role Lisa was vice president and chief financial officer for Sun Life Canada Group Benefits, which is the largest group benefits provider in Canada. Lisa oversaw finance, risk, actuarial valuation and pricing functions. She has also held key leadership roles in the advancement of the Actuarial Community in Canada.
Prior to joining Sun Life, Lisa spent more than 10 years at Manulife Financial, where she held roles in finance, product development, marketing and actuarial, from Individual Insurance to Global Actuarial Audit. She has served on several industry committees and is a recipient of the Bronze Award from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, which recognizes a significant level of volunteer committee work to further the actuarial profession.
Lisa received her bachelor’s degree from Carleton University and her master’s degree in statistics from Boston University. She is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
