As president of Sun Life’s Health and Risk Solutions business, Jen Collier leads the largest independent medical stop-loss business in the country as well as health-connected services that help people access the care and coverage they need. As a registered nurse with an MBA in finance and marketing, Jen’s extensive expertise in both clinical and business management helps Sun Life's employer clients and their employees achieve better health outcomes and manage the cost of care.
A passionate advocate for improving healthcare experience, Jen oversaw the 2021 acquisition of PinnacleCare, a care navigation company that provides personal care advisors to help people access the right diagnoses, doctors, and treatments for their specific medical needs. This led to the launch of Health Navigator powered by PinnacleCare, allowing Sun Life to provide care navigation services and work directly with a member to guide them through their healthcare journey.
Under Jen's leadership, Sun Life's industry-leading stop-loss business provides tailored solutions that safeguard employers' financial stability while enhancing health plan management and improving employee health outcomes. Sun Life’s vast data is compiled annually in its annual research report to showcase the costliest conditions and intravenous drugs affecting self-insured employers.
Collier’s strategic vision for improving access to care while managing costs has led to innovative programs like Clinical 360+, which connects members directly with specialized health partners for personalized care. This includes:
- Specialty and infusion drug management
- At-home care management for chronic or end-stage kidney disease and congestive heart failure
- Virtual clinical intervention for musculoskeletal conditions offering convenient care for back issues and related problems
- Access to independent oncology specialists for second opinions on cancer diagnoses and treatment plans
