HONG KONG – (September 18, 2024) - Sun Life today announced the appointment of Randy Lianggara as President, Emerging Markets, Asia, effective 1 November.
In this newly created role, Randy will help to drive growth across Sun Life’s businesses in the fast-growing emerging markets of Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia as well as oversee Sun Life’s joint venture with China Everbright Group in mainland China.
Randy will join Sun Life’s Asia Executive Team and report to Manjit Singh, President Sun Life Asia.
Randy joins Sun Life from Aviva where he most recently held roles as Regional CEO, Asia, and Regional CEO, China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Prior to that he spent a decade as CEO of AXA Indonesia.

Randy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Iowa State University, U.S. and a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University, U.S. He is also a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Life Underwriter, Certified Wealth Manager, as well as a ChFC Charter Holder.
