Across Sun Life, giving back is more than a moment. It’s a mindset.

Through programs like You Give We Give and local volunteer initiatives, Sun Life Employees and advisors are making a meaningful difference in the communities where they live and work. From hands-on volunteering to charitable giving, their collective impact is helping people lead healthier lives and build stronger communities.

A shared commitment to giving

At the heart of Sun Life’s approach is the You Give We Give program. It empowers Employees and advisors in Canada, the U.S. and Ireland to support causes that matter most to them. Whether through donations, volunteering or participating in community events, Sun Life matches their contributions and amplifies the impact of every effort.

In 2025, this collective commitment translated into millions of dollars in donations and tens of thousands of volunteer hours, supporting thousands of charities around the world.

But beyond the numbers, it’s the stories of people coming together that truly bring this impact to life.

Canada: Growing momentum and grassroots leadership

In Canada, Employee and advisor engagement is growing rapidly. Participation in volunteering more than doubled year over year, driven by a mix of in-office, community-based and virtual opportunities.

Employees are also taking the lead. A passionate group of volunteer ambassadors has emerged across the business, organizing dozens of initiatives that bring colleagues together in support of local causes.

One example: during the holiday season, teams from across the organization partnered to assemble care packages for those in need. That effort brought together more than 100 volunteer hours and raised funds for charity.

This grassroots energy reflects a broader trend. Employees are not only showing up. They’re shaping how Sun Life gives back.

United States and Ireland: Building a culture of participation

In the U.S. and Ireland, giving continues to gain momentum, with Employees consistently contributing over $1 million USD annually to charitable causes for two consecutive years.

Volunteerism is equally strong. Employees participate in company-sponsored events and local initiatives, from assembling oral health kits for underserved communities to supporting nature-based programs for children.

These efforts highlight a growing culture of participation. Employees come together, both in person and virtually, to support causes close to home.

Asia: Local impact, global purpose

Across Asia, Sun Life teams are bringing the company’s Purpose to life in ways that reflect the needs of their communities.

In SLGS India, Employees are given dedicated volunteer time off each year, ensuring they have the opportunity to contribute their time and skills.

Across multiple markets, Employees are working with partners like Beyond Sport to run basketball clinics for underserved youth. These clinics help young people build confidence, resilience and healthy habits.

In the Philippines, the Brighter World Builders program offers Employees and advisors meaningful opportunities to volunteer, from community outreach to hands-on activities supporting seniors and families in need.

Coming together for global moments

Moments of global engagement are also bringing Sun Life people together in powerful ways.

On Earth Day, Employees and advisors across Canada participated in community clean-up events. This was the largest single-day volunteer effort in the country.

Across other regions, teams contributed through virtual and local initiatives supporting environmental conservation and community wellbeing.

These shared moments reinforce the collective strength of Sun Life’s global workforce, united by a common purpose.

A lasting impact

From individual acts of generosity to large-scale initiatives, Sun Life Employees and advisors are helping to create brighter, healthier futures every day.

Their efforts reflect more than community involvement. They reflect who we are as a company. We are committed to helping Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives, while making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
