Endometriosis: The Silent Struggle

Endometriosis is a complex and often misunderstood condition affecting 6-10% of women and girls of reproductive age in the United States. This chronic disorder occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing inflammation, pain, and scarring. Despite its prevalence, endometriosis remains a challenging diagnosis, with patients often facing years of uncertainty and misdiagnosis.

Sun Life offers Health Navigator in all states and no Sun Life insurance purchase is required to purchase.

Sun Life also offers Health Navigator with Disability policies in certain states and specifically not in New York and Washington. Employers who provide group insurance coverage and make Health Navigator available within an I.R.C. Section 125 cafeteria plan should consult a tax professional to determine whether those services are Qualified Benefits for Section 125 plans.

Group stop-loss insurance policies are underwritten by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (Wellesley Hills, MA) in all states, except New York, under Policy Form Series 07-SL REV 7-12 and 22-SL. In New York, Group stop-loss insurance policies are underwritten by Sun Life and Health Insurance Company (U.S.) (Lansing, MI) under Policy Form Series 07-NYSL REV 7-12 and 22-NYSL. Policy offerings may not be available in all states and may vary due to state laws and regulations. Not approved for use in New Mexico.
