Prior authorization, precertification and referrals
We are taking steps to ensure that participating providers in areas affected by the Southern California fires are able to continue providing care for members’ dental needs. This includes extending the duration of prior authorizations, referrals, and pre-treatment estimates by 180 calendar days so that providers can focus on providing care to enrollees rather than having to re-request prior authorization for previously authorized services.
