Asia Service Centre-Philippines is GPTW®-Certified two years in a row!

ASCP has achieved a whopping score of 88% reflecting an increased confidence from employees on how the organization is building an environment of trust and employee care. Despite the difficulties of 2021, the company remains steadfast in their commitment of providing a safe space for employees where they are heard, seen, and valued.

Asia Service Centre-Philippines is now Great Place to Work® Certified!

This is the first time for Asia Service Centre-Philippines to participate in the Great Place to Work study and 79% of ASCP employees have voted and recognized the steps taken by organization to build High-Trust, High-Performance Culture™.  In the current submission, GPTW® measured and benchmarked Employee Experience (though the Trust Index) and People Practices (through the culture audit report) which measured the organization’s efforts during COVID-19 toward its employees.

Giving back to the community

Sun Life Asia Service Centre-India was awarded the CSR Health Impact Award on July 7, 2017, in the category of Employee Volunteer Programs at the CSR Health Impact Awards. Employee volunteerism is well and alive as partnered with Non-profit organizations such as Protsahan - helping to empower homeless children and young adolescent girls, Harmony House - supporting the welfare of underprivileged children, Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram - caring for elderly people. Desire Society - working for AIDS / HIV infected children. 

Asia Service Centre-India amongst 100 best companies to work for women

We were recognized as the best company to work for Women by the 2017 Working Mother and AVTAR in September. The coveted ranking is in one of the largest annual study measuring work place excellence and gender inclusion in companies across spectrum of industries in India.

‘Best Companies for Women in India’ is now in its second edition and is the country’s largest gender analytics exercise. Over 250 companies were selected out of 360 companies to be assessed on a range of parameters pertaining to diversity, inclusion and flexibility for working women. The assessment was done by an acclaimed US based firm, Working Mother, that serves as a mentor and advocate for working mothers with successful professional careers along with its Indian partner AVTAR. A robust data-protected analytics tool was deployed to pick the 100 best.

Being one among the top hundred companies is a testament of our strong people policy in providing friendly, positive and a collaborative work environment for women.

Asia Service Centre-India is officially great!

We were recognized and certified as a Great Place To Work amongst the select few companies for the period of August 2017 to July 2018 and again in 2019.

Every year more than 8000 organizations from over 50 countries partner Great Place To Work Institute for assessment, benchmarking, and planning actions to strengthen their workplace culture. Great Place To Work Certification Program is the first step for an organization in its journey to build a ‘high trust high performance culture’ and ASC India has successfully accomplished this milestone.

It’s our employees across the organization who have taken the onus of building and sustaining a high performance and effective work culture every day and have established us as a great place to work.

Learning & development of our employees is the Priority

We were awarded in CII National HR Circle Competition on November 2017, for best practices in Performance Management and Training & Development.

Our Learning and Development team was placed second runner-up in the Performance Management, Training, and Development category at the Confederation of Indian Industry national competition.

The award highlights how ASC India is fostering a learning culture aligned to Client 2020 and truly making lives brighter for Employees.

Sun Life Asia Service Centre-India recognized with LOMA’s Excellence in Education award

Sun Life was recognized amongst a select few companies to be awarded the LOMA’s Excellence in Education (EIE) Award last year in May, making us one of the top 66 companies in the world to accomplish this feat. ASCI competed with more than 1200 different organizations worldwide to secure this distinction.

The winners are short-listed by LOMA basis a number of criteria, which include 1) A minimum number of examination every year 2) An average score of 85% 3) A significant growth in LOMA certifications relative to the previous year

Our people across the ASCI undertook LOMA courses, taking the tally of certifications to a whopping 329 LOMA exams, establishing us as a great place to learn and grow, and the sixth time winner of the Award.

Asia Service Centre- India Technology sustains CMMI Services Maturity Level 3

The Sun Life Technology team successfully re-appraised at CMMI services maturity Level 3 in April 2017. CMMI services implementation has strengthened the ASCI as a Service Centre by standardizing the offshore processes. The re-appraisal journey has re-affirmed the effectiveness of our internal process improvement initiatives and determined our process strengths and improvement areas.

The re-appraisal was conducted over seven days through 16 interview sessions with 50 unique interviews across several engagements.

Asia Service Centre - India named one of the 2018 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World

Sun Life Financial is one of the 2018 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World , as selected by Corporate Knights, a Toronto-based media and investment advisory company. Sun Life is one of only 4 Canadian companies across all sectors included in the ranking, and one of only 2 North American insurance companies to earn a spot among the 2018 Global 1001

Applying a data-driven approach, Corporate Knights assesses about 7,000 companies against global industry peers on a suite of up to 17 quantitative key performance indicators covering resource, employee and financial management, green revenue and supplier performance.

Brandon Hall Award

Sun Life ASC and Accenture together won the Gold medal for outstanding work on the project Managing Changes for the Workforce Transformation to a Futuristic workplace (SUNERGY) at the prestigious Brand Hall Excellence Awards FY 2019. 

The Brandon Hall Excellence Awards recognizes organizations that have deployed strategies, programs, systems, and more to achieve measurable results. With over 1500 employees inclusive of Millennials and Gen Z’s, Sun Life ASC wanted to incorporate facilities and amenities in the relocated premises that provides a safe, comfortable, and healthy environment along with exceptionally inspiring work experience. Sun Life ASCI required Accenture to include technology, operations, and enabling functions to move from two different offices to move to one state of the art facility which is collaborative, innovative, sustainable, and well-oriented.

Asia Service Centre - Philippines receives the LOMA Excellence in Education Award for 2 years in a row!

For 2 consecutive years, ASC has been awarded the LOMA Excellence in Education Award 2019. Only 32 of the more than 900 LOMA members companies are being awarded LOMA’s Excellence in Education (EIE) award this year. Our learners successfully completed a minimum of 50 designation program during 2019. We have achieved a high percentage of successful completions on all designation program courses whether in a proctored or non-proctored format. That’s 5% growth in successful course completions over 2018.
