Sun Life may offer text message programs so we can share important information with you. For example, we may send you claim or account updates, reminders, and other service messages. We do not use our text message programs for marketing purposes.

Once we obtain this information, we do not disclose it except as permitted or required by law. We may disclose it to companies that help us deliver text messages and perform services on our behalf (such as messaging platform providers, aggregators, and wireless carriers). We require them to protect the confidentiality and security of the information and to use it only for the purpose for which it is provided, as permitted by law. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except as needed to provide or administer the text messaging service.
