Gain access to more patients with Medicare Advantage
Dental Health Alliance®, L.L.C. (DHA) is excited to announce that we will be expanding to serve Medicare Advantage plans in select states beginning January 1, 2024. This means the opportunity to see more patients at your contracted fee schedule.
As with group plans, when a Medicare Advantage plan will begin to access DHA, you will receive advance notice as well as guidance on the plan's benefit coverage.
You do not have to do anything to take advantage of this exciting new opportunity.While you can opt out of participating in Medicare Advantage through DHA, by doing so you may not be notified of future Medicare Advantage opportunities.To opt out of participating in Medicare Advantage through DHA,email us at dha@sunlife.com. Please note that opting out of Medicare Advantage does not impact your current participation in DHA.

What are the benefits of participating as an in-network provider for Medicare Advantage Plans?
Medicare Advantage is a great way for providers to grow their practice. 30.8 million people in 2023 are enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans.2 Enrollment has more than doubled since 2010 and is projected to grow from 54% of the eligible population in 2024 to 60% by the end of this decade.2
How will this impact my practice?
The addendum incorporates provisions that are required for participation in Medicare Advantage. Some of the new requirements include credentialing and training responsibilities. Please review the entire addendum to ensure you are familiar with all of the new requirements.
What states will be included?
Access to the DHA network for included Medicare Advantage members may be available in all states except Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Maryland, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming. Please check back periodically as additional states may be added.
