Gain Access to Humana Patients

Dental Health Alliance®, L.L.C. (DHA®) is excited to share that we have entered into an arrangement with Humana that may increase your potential patient base. Effective June 14, 2024, members whose PPO dental coverage is insured or administered by certain Humana companies will have in-network access to the DHA network in all states as provided in your agreement with DHA1.

How to participate

  • No action is needed to participate, and you may opt out of this arrangement at any time.
  • If you do not wish to participate, please visit surveymonkey.com/r/2024Humana by April 15, 2024.

Which network fees will apply?

Your DHA fee schedule will apply when you provide covered services to Humana dental PPO members; however, if you are also an in-network provider for another network accessed by Humana, a different fee schedule may apply. If you have questions regarding your participation status or reimbursement rates, please contact Humana at 800-833-2223 on or after June 14, 2024.

Which products does this apply to?

The following standalone dental plans:

  • Commercial PPO plans in all states
  • Federally facilitated exchange (Exchange) plans in AL, AZ, FL, IL, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, OH, OK, TN, TX, UT, WI
  • Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) plans in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, OH, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV

We will notify you if additional Humana products or states are added.

Which Humana companies are participating with this arrangement?

Here is a list of all participating companies: Humana Insurance Company, Humana Insurance Company of New York, HumanaDental Insurance Company, Humana Health Benefit Plan of Louisiana, Inc., The Dental Concern, Inc., and Compbenefits Insurance Company.

When a member comes to your office for care:

Check patient eligibility/benefits and verify that the patient's plan utilizes the Commercial PPO/Traditional Preferred Network.

Visit Humana.com/AvailityDentalPortal to learn how to register online, for access to check patient eligibility and benefits, view claim status and remittance documents, sign up for electronic payments, submit claims and more.
