WELLESLEY, Mass. – (August 31, 2017) – Sun Life Financial is ready to assist Clients affected by Hurricane Harvey, recognizing that many may have evacuated their homes or businesses and need extra time to make payments, help with filing claims or to report a temporary address change to receive disability and other insurance checks without disruption.
“We’re proactively reaching out to disability claimants and other Clients to offer assistance, confirm addresses or set up electronic payments,” said Dan Fishbein, M.D., president of Sun Life Financial U.S. “We’re also giving employers in the area extra time to make premium payments on benefits plans, and helping brokers who need assistance with administration or recovery of account information. Our thoughts are with everyone affected during this difficult time.”
Sun Life and its employees also are donating to the Red Cross for Harvey disaster relief efforts, and helping colleagues impacted by this disaster.
