Tony Alonzo

Tony has 28 years of global experience in Information  Technology, IT Security/Data Protection and Project  Management in both insurance and telco industries.  Prior to joining Sun Life, he held the role of Vice-President &  CTO and concurrent DPO in AIG for their Global IT Center and  Shared Services Operations Centers. He provided service  delivery coverage for global clients in North America, EMEA,  LatAm and APAC, for both IT Security and other aligned IT  Services for 15 years. ​

Tony has graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with  Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and major in  Computer Science and did his advanced executive leadership  studies from Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and  Babson Executive Education. He also has a project  management certification from George Washington University  and is a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project  Management Professional (PMP).​

He is a dog lover and has 4 dogs.  He  tries to juggle his time between  work, family and his fur babies. He is a  die-hard Star Wars fan and lists Yoda as  his all-time favorite character. “Do or  do not, there is no try.” ​
