For the 9th year in a row, Canadians have voted Sun Life Financial the “Most Trusted Life Insurance Company” according to the 2018 Reader's Digest Trusted Brand™ Survey. Trust continues to play a major role in Canadian consumer purchasing decisions, and the Ipsos Reid poll, conducted on behalf of Reader's Digest, asked more than 4,000 Canadians to name the brand they trust most in 30 product categories.

The Outstanding CEO program has been in place for more than 25 years, with the honoree chosen by an Advisory Board of top Canadian business leaders. The award honours both Dean and the success of Sun Life.
The Advisory Board noted Sun Life's successful global business strategy and financial performance under Dean’s leadership and the agenda of digital transformation and innovation he has set to create better experiences for our Clients around the world.
The latest honour for Sun Life Philippines CEO and Country Head, Riza Mantaring, is the 2017 Asia Talent Management Award, presented as part of the Asia Business Leader Awards organized by global business news network CNBC. Riza was recognized for her commitment to employee development, from highly successful leadership development programs to hands-on mentoring of high-potential employees in the Philippines where Sun Life is the longest-standing and one of the largest life insurance company.
Corporate Knights magazine has once again included Sun Life on its list of the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada. The 2017 edition places Sun Life No. 10th overall, our 2nd consecutive year in the top 10. Sun Life has appeared on the annual ranking 12 of the 16 years since its inception.

Sun Life ranks #1 in Forrester's November 2016 Canadian Life Insurance Digital Sales Functionality Benchmark
In the first Canadian life insurance digital sales functionality benchmark by influential, research and advisory firm Forrester Research, Sun Life proudly took the top spot. Our score of 75/100 outperformed the industry average score of 47/100, thanks to our ability to support the needs of both Clients who prefer to buy online and Clients who prefer to work with an advisor.
Forrester rated Sunlife.ca's Life insurance experience using 35 criteria on desktop, tablet and mobile, and categorized the results in 3 stages: discover, explore and buy. We achieved a near-perfect score at the discover stage, where we help Clients think through their life insurance needs, and we earned the top score for our ability to simplify the sales process.
In 2015, for the 9th consecutive year, Sun Life was listed on the Dow Jones SustainabilityTM North America Index. The index represents the top 20% of the 600 largest North American companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.
Sun Life investment subsidiary MFS Investment Management won top honours in Barron's 2015 ranking of Top Mutual Fund Families, placing 1st for 5-year performance. It ranked 2nd for 10-year performance and 5th for 1-year performance. It is the 8th consecutive year that Barron's has recognized MFS.
Sun Life was ranked #1 in the Globe and Mail Report on Business' 2015 Board Games. The report examined the boards of directors of 234 companies and income trusts in the S&P/TSX composite index as of September 1, 2015 to assess the quality of their governance practices. The assessment and scores are based on questions about board composition, including diversity policies and disclosure of term limits for directors, shareholding and compensation, shareholder rights and disclosure.

The Brighter Life Indonesia website won the Interactive Media Awards (IMA) Outstanding Achievement Award in the category of 'Financial Information.' Launched in 2012, the website provides insights about money, health and family.
The awards were judged by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a non-profit organization dedicated to elevating the standards of excellence on the Internet. The IMC is a primary sponsor and governing body of the IMA and focuses primarily on the areas of web standards, accessibility, usability and privacy.
