Human Rights Campaign Gives Sun Life Financial Top Rating in 2012 Corporate Equality Index

Wellesley, MA (December 8th, 2011) — Sun Life Financial Inc. (NYSE: SLF, TSX: SLF) today announced that the Human Rights Campaign has issued Sun Life Financial a top rating, of 100%, in the  2012 Corporate Equality Index. The designation puts Sun Life Financial in the Human Rights Campaigns U.S. list of "Best Places to Work" for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees. The 10th annual Corporate Equality Index analyzes the policies and practices of large U.S. employers toward lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.
