Sun Life Financial salutes Canadian performing artists at this year's Governor General's Performing Arts Awards

MONTREAL/TORONTO (October 12, 2000) - Sun Life Financial announced today its involvement as Associate Sponsor in the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards, the most prestigious performing arts awards in Canada. The sponsorship extends the Company's continuing contribution in support of Canadian artistic achievement, in this case, recognizing the unique contributions to the country's diverse cultural fabric made by this year's recipients. The recipients were announced at news conferences in Montréal and Toronto today.
