Employee giving

Across Canada, in Massachusetts, U.S., and in Hong Kong, India, China, Indonesia and the Philippines, Sun Life employees and advisors are making their charitable mark. Men and women who make a difference by volunteering their time and talents to make life a little brighter in the communities where they live and work.

Including the 52 MFS employees who raised almost US$292,000 by participating in the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge – a grueling 307 km bike marathon that raises money for Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. And the Sun Life Shining Action group, an employee-advisor volunteer group in Hong Kong who support several charities and organizations through fundraising and the donation of hundreds of hours of time and effort.

In Canada, hundreds of employees and members of their families have raised $735,800 over the past 6 years for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation through Run for the Cure. And in China, employee volunteers helped plant more than 700 trees as part of Sun Life Everbright’s Green China Campaign.

It’s about lending a hand, sharing values and making better communities.
